Supporting staff that are new to phonics. What great learning look like in phonics lessons. How to ensure that misconceptions are being addressed swiftly especially within the lowest 20%. How to ensure that your support staff are targeting their interventions. This session will be followed by a Q&A.

About the event
This event is an oppurtunity to explore practice but also a chance for targeted support in the areas you may feel less confident in. The Q&A session will be anonymous and will allow for any questions to be answered. It's a chance to have contact with other NQTs and RQTs and to build a network of teachers' in your area and in the surrounding boroughs.
Upon attending this training you will be given your own Literacy Specialist to support you in your phonics teaching and receive 1 hour of training each half term. This training will be targeted to your SSP and you will be given training targeted at either EYFS teachers or KS1 teachers that will support you in teaching phonincs throughout the year.
